Over the past four years residents have been encouraged to take just a little time out each month to visit the WW1 noticeboard and find out more about how the War affected Wilmslow and particularly where locals were posted during the War, which actions they were fighting in and where casualties were suffered.
Since the first display in August 2014 each month the Noticeboard has displayed an update on where soldiers from Wilmslow were during that month 100 years ago. Wilmslow Historical Society collated this information from local residents and other sources and has prepared each month’s bulletin.
January 2019 marks the final bulletin to be posted. All of the bulletins are also available to view in folders at Wilmslow Library.
You can also read all of the previous bulletins here.
