Allotments and Public Toilets

The Town Council is responsible for providing Allotment plots in Wilmslow having taken on the ownership of the Cliff Road and Land Lane allotment sites in 2019.

The sites at Lincoln Road, Carnival Field and Greaves Road are not run by the Town Council.

Apply for an Allotment

The Town Council maintains a waiting list for allotment plots. Should you wish to apply for a plot at either Cliff Road or at Land Lane ( off Prestbury Road ) then please complete the application form ( document attached below) and return it to the Town Council Offices by post or email.

Tenancy Agreement for Allotments

The Town Council is committed to creating and maintaining vibrant and productive allotment sites for the benefit of all plot holders. The sample tenancy agreement (document attached below) sets out the responsibilities of the prospective tenant in maintaining their plot.

Allotment Fees

The Town Council will review allotment fees on an annual basis with new rates being applied from the following 1st October. The rental rates are currently calculated at 16 pence per m2 per year. New tenants will be asked for a deposit equal to 12 months rent at the time of taking out their agreement, the terms for the return of which are set out in the tenancy agreement.

The Cliff Road Allotment site is locally managed by it's own allotment association which charges a small annual fee for membership and which works on a non profit basis for the benefit of all Cliff Road plot holders.

Public Toilets

The Town Council owns and operates Public Toilets at the Carrs Park, Cliff Road. The toilet block was built in 2017 as the first major project of the Town Council. The building contains two unisex toilets both with baby changing facilities and one which is DDA compliant for easy use and access. The building also incorporates a refreshments kiosk operated commercially through a tenancy agreement by 'Cafe Azul' offering specialist hot and cold drinks, cakes and light refreshments Click for details.

The toilets are cleaned and maintained under contract by Healthmatic Ltd Redman Road, Porte Marsh Ind Estate, Calne, Wiltshire. SN11 9PL.

We pride ourselves in operating and maintaining toilet facilities of a very high standard that you would be happy to visit and revisit and make a charge of 20p which is reinvested in to the cleaning and maintenance of the facility. The toilets are open in the summer months from 8am until 6pm and in the winter from 8am until dusk.
