Public Toilet usage refecting increasing visitor numbers at the Carrs

The Town Council operated public toilets at the Carrs Park, Wilmslow has now had in excess of 30,000 visitors since it opened in July 2017 and over 20,000 in the last 12 months.

Like for like usage is 30% up year on year reflecting the need for the facility and the overall success of the Carrs Park as a significant leisure destination. The weekly Parkrun that operates from the park every Saturday morning is also seeing a significant uplift in participation and the playground is more popular than ever.

The Town Council invested £87,000 of it's own funds in the facility in 2017 bucking the trend at a time when toilet facilities were being closed down in Cheshire East in line with many other areas in the country. The inclusion of a refreshments kiosk has proved hugely successful in inhancing the park facilities and in ensuring that the toilet facility has no financial cost to residents that don't use the facility, indeed the greater than anticipated usage is now beginning to pay back the initial capital costs.

The toilets are maintained to a high standard by Healthmatic Ltd on behalf of Wilmslow Town Council.
